Snare Drum Render

The game is beginning to really feel like an obstacle course and new platforms and assets are needed to keep the player entertained. so i modelled and textured this snare drum which the player can jump onto. the surface area at the top would be alot larger so multiple 'Note' collectibles would be great to scatter on the top of this platform.

Didgeridoo Tunnel Render

i wanted to incorporate other ways in which the character can explore the game and i came up with a didgeridoo tunnel. the tunnel takes about 10-15 seconds to go through which means that they wont see the rest of the game for that segment of time. my theory behind this is that when they 'see the light at the end of the tunnel' they will reborn into a different part of the game with different obstacles and animation, hopefully gaining a 'wow' when exiting the tunnel.

Vinyl Stopper

This asset is used to to stop the vinyl shredder. instead of having some random disc's moving along the floor, i would put these either side so it would look like more of a serious obstacle and stop the player simple walking around them.

Drumstick render

i was thinking of ways to use this asset and i thought of using them as fences in the music world.

Vinyl Disc Render

These are the discs that will be a rotating platform for Soundboy to jump onto. im pleased with this simple design because you can tell exactly what it is. i also used these as the vinyl shredders which Soundboy has to avoid.

Fence Plank Render

this is the front plank which holds the fence together, for such a minor asset that has to be duplicated X amount of times i decided not to go into so much detail and model the screws so instead i painted them on and made them stand out with a slight dark shadow beneath the nail.

Fence Render

Oops, havnt been updating the blog. production has really been intense and i spent all my time on polishing assets and the terrain. from here on is some renders of the assets and textures i have produced (slap on the wrist)

When i was primarily modelling the fence it was quite straight forward and realistically modelled, however when Steve B showed me the 'stretch' modifier it added alot more character and made it more cartoony
